On Thursday Mitt Romney appointed Richard Grenell, an openly gay man, to an advisory role in his campaign for president. Grenell is a Log Cabin Republic and has worked with several prominent Republican officials (he was spokesman for the George W. Bush administration). The move is being criticized as a subtle, purely political move by Romney toward the center in an attempt to gain moderate voters. Read more:
