Get Your Scream On During the Fourth Annual OktoberFrightFest At Fremont Street Experience. Haunted House the “Asylum” Finds New Home Downtown Beginning Sept. 28
Get your scream on at Fremont Street Experience this Halloween as the Asylum comes downtown for the Fourth Annual OktoberFrightFest. The wildly popular, nationally ranked haunted house Asylum, now in its 14th year of operation, will have a new home beginning Sept. 28 on Fremont Street Experience’s 3rd Street North area.
“What better way to put the fright in OktoberFrightFest than to bring one of Las Vegas’ most terrifying attractions downtown,” said Jeff Victor, president of Fremont Street Experience. “OktoberFrightFest is about combining two great holidays, Oktoberfest and Halloween, creating the ultimate month-long celebration. With the addition of the Asylum, our guests can enjoy beer and drink specials, nightly ghoulish entertainment and a nail-biting, terrifying haunt all under one canopy. This is just the beginning of what we have planned for our guests this October.”
Asylum will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 p.m. – midnight and on Thursdays and Sundays from 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. on the following dates: Sept. 28-30, Oct. 5-7, Oct. 11-14, Oct. 18-21, and Oct. 25-28. In celebration of Halloween, Asylum will also be open on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. and on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 6:30 p.m. – midnight. General Admission is $15. A VIP ticket is also available for $20 and allows the ticketholder to bypass the line. Nevada residents receive a $3 discount.
Known nationwide for pioneering the trailer-haunt concept, Asylum takes you on a terrifying journey through the story of the Meadview Asylum, headed by Dr. Vander and his son Adriane. Legend has it that Adriane Vander took on a friend of the family, Mortimer Feoray, as a patient. After deeming him cured, Feoray returned to the hotel his family owned only to kill everyone. Now he lurks in the shadows where he and the inmates have taken over the “Asylum,” terrorizing anyone who steps foot inside. Patrons must navigate the dark hallways alone through a terrifying series of fright-inducing rooms including: admitting area, nurse’s station, patients’ rooms, therapy room, the morgue and much more.
